There are several public locations throughout the State to observe these fish including: Desert Botantical Garden (Phoenix), Phoenix Zoo, Arizona State University Desert Arboretum Park (Tempe), Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (Tucson), Buckskin Mountain State Park (Parker), Bureau of Land Management (Lake Havasu City) and two US Fish and Wildlife Service locations in the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge (Cibola) and the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge (Yuma).
