Hunt Arizona 2008: Survey, Harvest and Hunt Data

Hunt Arizona is a yearly compilation of big and small game hunting statistics. The information includes draw, survey and harvest statistics for a five-year period as well as information on distribution, life history, and behavior of big game, small game and other wildlife.

This publication, provided by the Arizona Game & Fish Department, is a valuable resource for hunters who want to plan their hunts and draw strategy.

Hunt Permit Draw/License Application Form

The Hunt Permit-Tag/License Application form must be printed, signed, and mailed to the Arizona Game and Fish Department or dropped off in person. This form cannot be submitted online to enter the draw.

Until further notice, all hunt permit/tag draw applications can only be submitted by mail or dropped off at a Department office using the completed paper application.

This form can be printed and can be completed using an ink pen. Once the form is correctly completed, it must be signed by all applicants and submitted with a check or money order for the correct amount to the Arizona Game and Fish Department to be eligible to enter the draw.

2008-2009 Fall Waterfowl Hunt / Spring 2009 Big Game Recommendations

The proposed 2009 spring hunt recommendations for spring turkey, javelina, buffalo, and bear and the recommendations for 2008-2009 waterfowl and snipe seasons are now available for review. These hunt recommendations were formulated according to the hunt guidelines approved by the Commission in August 2007.

The hunt recommendations may be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the below link for 2009 spring big game or waterfowl. You may also view the memo to the Commission outlining the proposed changes.

AZGFD Lifetime License Application

Arizona's lifetime general hunting and fishing license and trout stamp program is a new and unique opportunity for resident sportsmen and sportswomen to participate in the long-term funding of Arizona's Wildlife Conservation programs.

The dollars generated from the sale of these special licenses will be deposited into the Arizona Wildlife Endowment Fund from which only the interest accrued will be used for management programs. Therefore, your lifetime license dollars today will work for wildlife for many years to come.

Arizona Pioneer License Application

A Pioneer License grants all the privileges of a Class F combination hunting and fishing license and also allows the licensee to fish in all urban lakes. The application is available for downloading online by clicking on the below link.
